This is a piece I created for the AIGA Medalist Competition that commemorates the significance of the recognized designer. The designer that I choose was Kyle Cooper who has worked on hundreds of film and television title sequences, including the ones that are referenced in my image. The goal was to create a tribute piece that referenced both the subject and style of the designer. This is accomplished in this piece by creating a movie title of Cooper’s name (referencing his work as a title designer), as well as the use of different film letters for each letter of his name (referencing the varied visual style and piecemeal elements that are trademarks of his work).
